On April 7 2011 the board called for an election for all positions on the board of directors. Nominations were accepted up until April 15 2011. Thanks to the 16 members who came out on June 19 to help the club participate in the Renfrew County Adopt-a-Road program. EOTB has adopted 2 km of Hwy 508 leading into Munfords in Calabogie. We use this road so often on the way to so many trails and to camp, it only makes sense that we try to help keep it beautiful. 2 km doesn't sound like much but on a hot day, under attack by ants, wading through long grass, thistles and brush, it's a lot of work! We've changed the New Offroaders Seminar for Saturday June 14 2008 to a New Offroading trail run to the Gorge. We'll have some experienced members out to help everyone enjoy the day. It was my honour to host this years Trail Leadership Course in Brockville, it was a mild sunny day and we had an excellent turn out. By 10am a total of 8 vehicles and a total of 12 members were in attendance, from as far away as Belleville and Quebec but mostly the Ottawa area. The purpose of this course is not just to groom members for leadership roles but to make them aware that they can play a participating roll in any trail Run they attend. (more…)
