Two weeks ago, you should have received a notice regarding the EOTB’s response to COVID-19. If you missed that notice, you can follow the link below to view it.
The information below reflects the most recent changes to the EOTB calendar. We are ensuring we comply with the province’s emergency orders, but also making every effort to do our part to ensure the health and safety of our members.
Wing Night
As a result of the prohibition on events and gatherings of more than 5 people, and exercising common sense, Wing night, originally scheduled for April 13th, has been canceled.
We will, however, hold a virtual wing night using video conferencing. Click below to learn more.
Trail Leader Course
You should have already received notification about possible changes to the Trail Leader Course. While the emergency orders don’t currently extend through to April 18th, the prudent approach would be to move ahead with virtual sessions. The course will take place across three sessions during the evenings of April 21, 23 and 28.
Trail Runs
We have not yet reached any decisions with respect to the trail schedule. Regardless of the pandemic, the conventional wisdom is to stay of the trails at least until May 1st anyway. When we get closer to that date, we will provide additional updates based on the provincial guidance at that time. I think we all need to be prepared for the possibility that the start of the season will be delayed and that changes to our standard procedures will have to be made if and when we can hit the trails.
