We set off for Lavant from Brockville at 9:15 am Sunday morning, stopping for the mandatory Gas and Tim's in Perth and made the trail head by 11:00 'ish am, thinking that the group would have been well into the trail, only to find them on mass at the trail head. We headed out from Camp EOTB around 12:00 with a convoy of 9 trucks including 1 Land Rover, 1 YJ, 1 XJ, 2 Rubicons and 4 TJs. We stopped off at Mumford's for some fuel and supplies then proceeded to the trailhead. (more…)

Thursday started off just right, good weather, 3 jeeps left bells corners at 0955hrs as planned. Enroute to Bobcaygeon via hwy 7 where we stopped at every Tim Horton's along the way. In Madoc, we met up with Peter and his family, and waited for Evan to catch up ( approx 20 minute Down time ), We then convoyed to Peterborough where we ran into the thunderstorms predicted for the area ( talk about cats and dogs ) We were able to pull over before the major rain storm hit the area, but my unde...

Sunday turned out to be a perfect day for the rally. We met in Bells Corners and launched the trucks 5 minutes apart. (more…)

A beautiful spring day found a couple of trucks from the Kingston chapter trundling along the K&P Trail heading for Lavant Station. We established CB contact thereabouts, and met up with half-a-dozen trucks from Ottawa at the campsite on the shore of Dixon Lake. (more…)

9 trucks headed out to Galetta Sunday morning. It's a bad sign when you have to huddle under the shopping cart coral to stay dry waiting for people to show up. We had 5 club trucks and 4 guest drivers in a full-size RAM pickup, an Isuzu Rodeo, a slightly modified Jeep TJ and a slightly modified Nissan Xterra. Brent, Al and Rocco checked in to see us off. We left Bells Corners Sunday morning with about 23 trucks, picked up a few at Kinburn Side Road and met up with half a dozen more at Mumfords in Calabogie. There were about 30 trucks in total, probably 40 people representing EOTB, OJC, OVO and KAOS. (more…)

There were three XJs (the greatest Jeeps ever made), a Comanche (the second best) a couple of YJs and TJs and one Nissan patheti... sorry pathfinder. Terry (Land Rover Discovery), Sebastien (YJ), and I (XJ) left the Loblaws parking lot at 9:30 am and headed out to the trail near Calabogie. The weather wasn't really cooperating with us, it was cold and raining most of the day. (more…)

I arrived at the Zellers parking lot at 9:00 and was pleased to see another Cherokee! Luc drives a 92 XJ with about 4 inches of lift and 31" tires. We waited around until about 9:30 to see if Sebastien would show up, and then left for the trail head. (more…)
