Heavy Rains and heavy snow melt have combined to swell most of the areas waterways. This includes Kippen’s Creek washing out the culvert on McHugh road which is now closed, making the Gorge inaccessible. This event has been postponed indefinitely pending confirmation that McHugh Road has reopened.
The OF4WD hosted a newbie run last fall only to find that parts of the trail were blocked by large trees that fell during one of the storms. In an effort to keep the trail open for the upcoming season, the OF4WD, in partnership with local member clubs are organizing a trail maintenance event.
This event is not a trail run. Attendance will be limited and focused on trail maintenance activities.
If you wish to volunteer to help with this trail maintenance, please register by completing the form below. Event details will be communicated using the e-mail address provided.
We are trying to limit the number of vehicles involved, however, we encourage participants to ride-along with others to maximize the number of working hands available.
We will meet at the Antrim Truck Stop at 9:00 am. If you would like to join us for breakfast at the truck stop come for 8 am.
Planned departure time is 9:30am.
Please come fully fueled and ready to roll.
This is a trail maintenance event, so please bring equipment for clearing downed trees. Tools such as chainsaws, clippers, machetes, cant hooks will all be useful in removing the deadfall from the trail.
While the EOTB is managing the registrations for this event, any member of the OF4WD is welcome.
