This our 1st overland run and its designed to introduce crownland camping to the members of EOTB. The main aim of this trip is to allow members who are interested in overlanding to familiarize themselves with bush camping. The trail leader, a seasoned camper, will be available to help and guide you in every step of the adventure.
There is potential for some slightly tight trails and depending on environmental conditions, the campsite could have tall grass etc, please be prepared (wet ground, bugs, ticks etc). Camp site will be on the waterfront at Perch Lake.
Please note that this trip will be limited to 5 trucks/tents due to camp site area, so hurry up and register!
Meeting Location: Ultramar in Almont at 9:30am (5525 Appleton Side Rd, Almonte, ON K0A 1A0)
We will be leaving no later than 10:00am.
Tow Points are mandatory for this trail. Stock 4×4 vehicles welcome as well as AWD vehicles with at least 7″ ground clearance (Subaru Outback, Jeep Renegade etc).
Each member will be responsible for their own camping equipment, food and supplies. Additional requirements and recommendations will be communicated to registrants by e-mail.
Please come to the meeting location fully fueled and ready to roll.
This is a members only run. If you wish to invite a non-member, please contact the trail leader to confirm that this event is suitable for your guest.
Please tune your CB to channel 4. No CB? Bring your FRS radio tuned to channel 4.
All rules applicable to regular trail runs apply to overlanding activities. Absolutely no use of alcohol or drugs by drivers or passengers before or during trail runs.
