Tow Points are mandatory for this trail. Stock 4×4 vehicles welcome as well as AWD vehicles with at least 7″ ground clearance (Subaru Outback, Jeep Renegade etc).

Each member will be responsible for their own camping equipment, food and supplies. Additional requirements and recommendations will be communicated to registrants by e-mail.

Overland VMUTS Trip @ Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System

Description

This is an overland trip to the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System near Mattawa, Ontario. VMUTS occupies a superbly scenic area between the ancient Algonquin Highlands and Laurentian Mountains, bordered by the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers.

Details for this event are still being finalized, and this event will be updated as new information becomes available.

Accommodations

At this time, there are no firm plans for group accommodations, There are several options for camping on Crown land, Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park 15 minutes outside Mattawa and Camp Conewango located just two minutes from the trail head. Motels and rental cabins are also available in the area.

There is no formal registration is required for this event, but a registration page will be setup to help coordinate members interested in attending.
