POSTPONED: Open Run – 2018 Season Opener

May 6, 2018 all-day
The Gorge

An unusually cool and damp spring has left the access road to The Gorge in poor shape. A large number of trucks heading to The Gorge will likely damage the road for both off-roaders and residents.

As a result, the season opener at The Gorge has been POSTPONED.

We are considering moving the opener to Darling the following weekend. PLEASE STAY TUNED!

The Gorge has been the traditional location of our Season Opener, and the tradition continues. The trail runs along a power line offering a variety of rocky obstacles to play on with the option of bypassing obstacles you don’t feel you, or your vehicle, are quite ready for. As the Season Opener usually attracts a large number of vehicles, please come prepared for a slow pace, with plenty of opportunity to socialize while watching your peers tackle the various obstacles. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your fellow members and take some great photos!

Should ground conditions be too wet, as they were last year, we may postpone the event to avoid damaging the trail or the access road.

Please keep an eye on the events calendar and watch for notices.
